What's Okay to Mention: Pretty much whatever you want.

(What's Not Okay to Mention:) Beyond the Garuna Island arc, Gray won't have a clue what you're talking about--I mean, you can still mention stuff, but he'll look at you like you're crazy. XD

Notes For the Psychics: Natsu sucks ~~except he's not so bad sometimes~~. Ezra is scary. Lucy's cute. You might see thoughts of UR, his former teacher, too.

Hugging/Kissing/Nicknaming: GO FOR IT, SRSLY.

Maiming/Killing/Death: Seeing as how he's an ice mage and trained to fight, I think it's unreasonable to assume none of these things'll happen to him. So. Fair game.

Other facts:

As I've mentioned, Gray doesn't exactly believe clothes are a necessity. Sometimes, he forgets to put them on at all, and sometimes, he starts stripping in the middle of conversations or fights. Fun for everyone! 8D

He's a casual smoker. He doesn't like complicated stories. He fights with Natsu all the time. And he has a patented tragic past (TM). But don't worry--it's not one of those pasts that he dwells on overmuch.

[Background info]

I’m going to try not to turn this into a novel, seriously. XD [ALSO, HERE BE SPOILERS]

So. When Gray was little, his parents were murdered by a demon called Deliora. Distraught and seeking revenge, Gray was taken under the wing of UR, an ice mage. She taught him and another orphan, Leon, everything she knew (up to and including being naked all the time…according to UR, the best way to master the ice is to work through it, so she trained the boys in the buff, on a snowy mountain). Unfortunately, Gray decided to take on Deliora before he was prepared—he went behind UR’s back and challenged the demon, and he would’ve lost his life if UR hadn’t shown up. In the end, she sacrificed herself to save him, becoming the very ice that sealed Deliora away.

Not long after, Gray met Makarov, the Master of Fairy Tail, a powerful mage guild, and he’s been a member ever since—in the Fairy Tail world, you aren’t considered a real mage unless you’re part of a guild. Gray’s past does come back to haunt him during the Garuna Island arc—it turns out, Leon is trying to free Deliora, because he wants to prove that he is stronger than UR ever was. At one point, Gray was about to perform the same spell that turned UR to ice in order to stop Leon, but Natsu got to him before he could.

Prior to the Garuna Island arc, Gray teams up with Natsu, Lucy, and Ezra on a mission to stop the dark guild, Eisenwald, from using a cursed flute that has the power to kill thousands at one go—their plan was to use the flute on the elders of the other legitimate guilds while they were all gathered together during their annual meeting. Gray shows off a lot of his spiffy ice magic, strips randomly, and is just plain awesome. XD

I would go into detail about the current arcs, but seeing as how I’m not taking him from beyond the Garuna Island arc, I don’t feel that much exposition is necessary?

[Personality]

Gray’s a really neat guy. He’s one of those laid-back individuals that sort of rolls with the punches, even while protesting about the situation. He may not like it, and he may bitch about it, but he does what he’s gotta do. He’s a bit more responsible than Natsu, but he’s not above bending the rules—during the Garuna Island arc, he was charged to find the fire mage as well as newcomer Lucy and bring them back (since they “stole” a mission from Fairy Tail headquarters’ second floor, a place that’s off limits to the less-seasoned mages), and he wound up going along with them on the mission anyway, partly because he does worry about them, and partly because he didn’t want Natsu stealing all the glory. And while we’re on the subject of Natsu…he and Gray don’t get along so well on the surface—they’re always sniping at each other and getting into fights that sometimes turn physical (Lucy believes this is because Gray represents ice and Natsu represents fire), but at the end of the day, they are comrades, and they’ll fight for each other. They’ll even put up a front of friendship if ordered (which they are).

One of Gray’s most notable personality quirks is his penchant for walking around in nothing but his boxers—or stripping in the middle of a mission or a fight. Clothes are too bothersome, and he prefers to make do without them as often as he can. Of course, he has a reputation as an exhibitionist because of it, but that’s just how he rolls.

He’s also willing to stick his neck out for his friends (even die for them), regardless of whether or not he feels overpowered by an enemy. Knock him down, and he’ll get back up, because he’s pretty damn obstinate.

[Abilities] Gray is an ice mage, which means he can manipulate ice however he sees fit (by turning it into weapons, for instance). He does this by calling out "Ice Make____".

[Other important facts] Gray is absolutely terrified of Ezra, another member of Fairy Tail, because she beat him up for walking around naked the first time she met him. XD

Also, he steals underwear.
